Programs & Classrooms for Children 18 months-5 years
Toddlers | Teddy Bears | 18 months-2 years
At this age, children are meeting new challenges as fast as they come. Crawling, walking and eventually running are levels they accomplish in what seems like a blink of an eye. Children learn best if they are in a stimulating — and nurturing — environment. Music, stories, outdoor play, and learning simplicities envelop much of the day in our Teddy Bears classroom. Our caregivers are dedicated to helping each child learn foundational skills and achieve developmental milestones through a trusting and loving relationship. The student/teacher ratio averages 3:1 to ensure the highest quality of care for our youngest. The Teddy Bears cohort begins each fall with nine toddlers, and increases to 12 children in the late winter/early spring as those original 9 children have their second birthdays. When the next school year starts, Teddy Bears transition to the Munchkins classroom.
Preschool | Munchkins | 2-3-year-olds
In our Munchkins classroom for 2-3-year-olds, children are developing a sense of confidence to explore and make sense of the world. Our classroom environment is rich in language, math, art, and social interactions. Through experiences that feel like play, your child develops confidence, independence, concentration, self-motivation, and a genuine love of learning. Children must be two years old by September 1 to join the Munchkins cohort when it begins in September. We start the fall with 12 children in the group, and increase to no more than 18 children as those original 12 children have their third birthdays. Student/teacher ratios never fall below 6:1 for 2-year-olds or 10:1 for 3-year-olds. When the next school year starts, Munchkins transition to the Rainbows classroom.
Preschool | Rainbows | 3-4-year-olds
In our Rainbows classroom for 3-4-year-olds, children are transitioning from parallel play to interactive play which takes place throughout the day during learning centers and outdoor time. At this age, children are learning how to play and work together with their peers. Our experienced and highly-trained teachers provide hands-on math, science, and language and literacy learning activities along with social-emotional and physical development experiences to prepare your child for later success in Kindergarten and beyond. Children must be three years old by September 1 to join the Rainbows cohort when it begins in September. The group size is 20 children, and student/teacher ratios do not fall below 10:1. When the next school year starts, Rainbows transition to the Explorers classroom.
Pre-Kindergarten | Explorers | 4-5-year-olds
Our Explorers/Pre-K classroom program is designed for children 4-5 years old and is the final step in getting your child ready for school success. By balancing social-emotional skills and academic preparation, our teachers and classrooms empower students to learn, grow and thrive. Activities include beginning skills in reading, writing, language expression through writing, mathematics, outdoor studies, science, life skills, social skills, art, music, and fitness. Teachers work one-on-one and in small groups to help students master academic concepts in depth. Our team of teachers are passionate about early childhood education and are chosen for their expertise, ability to connect with children, life experiences and higher education. In the summertime, the Explorers shift to "summer camp" activities and remain with their same teachers and classmates. The Explorers year runs through the end of August, providing care right up until kindergarten starts.
